It differs from other country
hotels for holding the first and most renowned
holístic spa of Brazil, a therapy center that aims
at maintenance of health and life quality by harmonizing body, mind and
spirit.
The peace of the mountainous landscape, the constant presence of nature
translated into abounding leafy trees, blossoming gardens, waterfalls
and rocks, as well as the tasty natural diet, prepared with freshly picked
produce from our own vegetable garden or from local marketers make Ponto
de Luz an ideal place to rest, recharge the energies, meditate,
practice healthy activities and search self-awareness.
With its thirteen-year experience, Ponto de Luz is a member of ABCspas
and acknowledged all around Brazil for its seriousness and the quality
of its services. Companies like Avon, American Express, Abril
S.A. and ZF Graphic Productions are some of our corporate clients,
and enjoy the excellent Infrastructure to promote events, conferences,
workshops, training courses and lectures.
Our usual guests are
businessmen and executives of many fields, artists, professionals, and
professors. In addition to the guests who come for the treatments in the
holistic spa, the hotel also attracts lots of couples looking
for romance in a peaceful, cozy environment, and families interested
in moments of leisure in the midst of nature.
The practice of meditation is the mission of Ponto de Luz which pervades
all group activities, as well as private consultations. Another mission
has been to value and encourage artists, which has turned Ponto de Luz
into an important cultural center of the region of Joanópolis,
with a rich monthly program that includes plays, ludic workshops,
music, dance and other performances. Ma Dhyan Bhavya, or simply
Bhavya, as she is
more commonly known, has been living at the hotel she owns since 1996.
She supports and is the mentor of the whole concept of the hotel.

There are no age restrictions to visit Ponto de Luz,
even though the irregular terrain may offer obstacles to people who have
motion difficulties or impairments. Families with children
are very welcome, but parents must be aware that the hotel does not have
monitors or a playground. Integration and family entertainment happen
through activities like walking, playing in the pools or in the waterfalls,
visiting the vegetable garden, or even in the co-participation of children
and parents in workshops
like the making of bread.
